In response to an article against Pashtoons

Haroon One of dear friend Khilji sahib has sent me a note which is infact a rejoinder to the writer of that Daily Express article, here is that for dear members' kind perusal.Article Against PukhtoonsJust went through the article which in fact is not against the Pukhtoons but against Pakistan. The writer, apparently wearing glasses, Seems to have no apparition and vision as the way he has portrayed Pukhtoons, will not only enrage the entire pukhtoon nation but will also provide the anti Pakistan elements with an opportunity to question many historic events, which the Pakistani nation has always been trying to bag credit for.The writer has quoted Winston Churchill in his venomous article, which shows his competence. He does not know even that was Churchill a friend or foe? And if he was not a friend, then how can he write something positive about his rivals? Secondly he has written that women in Pukhtoon society has no rights, people are illiterate, always out to fight each other and can’t see the southern Pakistan flourishing. When the now defunct. Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan; this region grasped the attention of outside world. This unfortunately also was a blessing in disguise for a number of people to become writers and journalists, like the one who wrote about Pukhtoons. Today where Pukhtoons are fortifying the frontiers of Pakistan and paying a very high price, many a self acclaimed writers and journalists sitting hundreds and even thousands miles away from here are selling their own opinions and minting money. I personally know so many senior journalists, who have not been to Peshawar even, but can be seen in both print and electronic media, discussing situation in Waziristan, Swat, Buner, Dir and Bajur. One thing more needs to be made clear that if today’s Pukhtoons are dubbed as ignorant, wild and poor for their deeds then the whole Pakistani nation with 65 percent Punjabis should not take pride for what Ahmad Shah Abdali, Sher Shah Soori, Khkiljis and Goris, have done.Coming up with such a sullied piece of writing, the writer in fact has exposed himself. Instead of defaming others, he needs to know about his own history and heroes, which starts with Ranjit Singh and ends with Baghat Sing. Had there been their own heroes, pakistani Tanks and Missiles, would have never been named after Ghauri and Khalid etc..The writer, as seems to have been driven by some one’s interests, can see only the handful miscreants but is “unable” to see people like Rehman Baba, Khushal Khan Khattak, Haji Sahab Turangzai, Faqir of Api, Khan shaheed, Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Sardar Abdul Rab, Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan, Imran Khan, Col. Sher Khan Shaheed,. Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, and Umar Gul.I will suggest the writer to also go to the following links ,if he has the courage to face the reality. It will not take much of his time ,. (Khilji dynasty (1290-1321), Lodhi dynasty (1451-1526) and Suri dynasty (1540-1556). The Pashtuns' modern past stretches back to the Hotaki dynasty (1709-1738) and later the Durrani Empire (1747-1823).[44] The Hotakis were Ghilzai tribesmen, who defeated the Safavid dynasty of Persia and seized control over much of the Persian Empire from 1722 to 1738. This was followed by the conquests of Ahmad Shah Durrani who was a former high-ranking military commander under the ruler Nadir Shah of Persia. He founded the Durrani Empire that covered most of what is today Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kashmir, Indian Punjab, and Khorasan province of Iran.[since the writer, like his ancestors, seems impressed by foreigners, therefore I would also recommend that if he can gather courage to know more about Pukhtoons, he should also go through the accounts of Edward E Oliver, Mountsuart Elphinstone, Temple, Arnold Keppel, Olaf Cairoe, Robert Warburton and L.White King (don’t worry they are not pushtoons). Before terming the pukhtoons as poor, ignorant and dirty nation, the so called intellectual, should not forget that it is because of the sacrifices of the dirty , poor and ignorant Pukhtoons, that you people can still go to parks and gardens, celebrate Basant and new year nights. The day, the Pukhtoons, stopped combating the terrorists, it will hardly take them an hour to reach Punjab and how much resistance do the Punjabis can show to invaders is clear from the history.Ansar Khilji

My new song

My new Pashto song " Khaar ke da be qadro de tanha wey" sung by Karan Khan has been released in his album Ghantol. video of the song has been shot in Dubai and is available on youtube.

A Tyranny Historic

A Tyranny Historic

by Muhammad Ansarullah

Oh! men of calibre and fortune
Born to build and not to ruin
Holding all in esteem high
Saying No to frown and sigh
Move as sparkling as the stars
And rely on work for
Amity,Amnesty, Accomodation,
Truce ,Courtsy and Meditation
Alas! failed to portray peace
Making muddy every piece
Razing skies to the ground
At home infants feel unsound
Big bangs,Blasts and suffocation
Impaired organs,ugly faces,mutilation
Weeds of widows,sack cloth,ashes
Flying bones and stains and rashes
All the claims of progress,gains
In the wake of ugly pains
Are just rhapsody,rhetoric
A Tyranny Historic
